he didnt 'make' skeng though did he, he 'ruined' skeng.

Come on, of all the MC's who push that yard flow, he is easily the worst.

i don't think the tune would be a third as good without him...the bug has made some sick instrumentals obviously though...his techno animal stuff is more me i suppose...for what it is though he was the perfect guy to tie this together...obviously durrty is way better technically but he has a different style

Sometimes you've got to overlook a bit of flow in favour of the voice. He's like the roadman version of Charli 2Na.

Mc's over dubstep = no

Hosts = yes. I used to listen to Crazy D years back with Stonecold GX and prefer his laid back hosting style now.

Ok you don't like skeng (didn't know it was possible).

What about Jah War? The Loefah remix is SICK. Play it on my funeral and my corpse will brock out.

A good MC over dubstep can add a lot of energy to a set by filling in rhythms over the top of the beat. Also adding a human element to the sound, crowd interaction, different atmosphere, all that jazz.

A shit MC is rubbish just like a shit anything is rubbish, but in general if you don't like people talking over records you probably shouldn't be listening to UK urban music...

Pokes is quite good as well.

THIS.

Pokes and Juakali both bring it proper, know when to do their duty, and when to let the music/tune do its duty.

flow dan isnt too bad, prefer him spittin on tracks then MCing really.

also, N-Type needs to MC, only because it would be funny as fuck!!!

Hmm would that include Skibadee or not?

Also Juakali :Q:
Never heard much of him but it was always good + he gave away a free a capella.

That was rubbish. He doesn't spit anything of value in the whole 4:54 seconds.

I do like Trim though

The whole i hate MC's is so fuckin old. If you don't like MC's don't tune into soundsystem culture. Plenty of electronic music out there with no vocalists.
This argument has been rolling on since the days of Hardcore.

At first I didn't like Crazy D coz he kept butting into the tunes. Now though the odd nights where he doesn't host at FWD is like losing an arm. Or something. He's way much better than most. And when he's on form :o

A lot of the time though it's also down to the mic level and how much the MCs feel the need to shout. Although the crappy ones seem to like turning both up.

Heard Dread the other day at Subloaded for the first time, I thought he was pretty good actually. He might've gone on pretty much non-stop but his voice level and tone sat quite well in the background.

not a flow dan fan man is easily the biggest waste of space out of all the 'big names' in the grime scene...BUT his version of poison dart (stampin) was incredible, almost as good as the original.

I like that Trim diss track tbh

but then Trim could spit his shopping list over me hitting my head on the desk and I'd bump that shit like there was no tomorrow
