After the huge sets from Zoo for You and the Lazy Tree Surgeons last month Simmer Down is switching it up this month at the Cross Kings and bringing you the cutting edge in raw underground UK Hip Hop. With Children of the Damned, Bad Taste Records, Simmer Down DJ's.

Children of The Damned - Underground Hip Hop super crew will be taking center stage tonight, representing from all over the UK. They are essentially the coming together of two groups, a Northern half which includes uk underground heavyweights Salar and Lee Scott who make up the infamous all star rap duo Antiheroes, producer and engineer Reklews and Blackburn's greatest emcee of all time the one and only Bill motherfuckin' Shakes aka Spilla. shouts to T.L and King Grubb.

The London half includes childhood cohorts Monsta Under The Bed and Dilna The Lost Kid aka Sly Moon. big up Barebass and Dutch Master J.

With 2 full CD albums released to date, COTD are influential players in underground hiphop. Make no mistake - lyrics like these and flows like these can only come from the minds of top quality lyricists and some of the best emcees this country has to offer. They boast some of the finest talent in the UK and are known and respected in hiphop circles around the country.

Support comes in the form of Sheffield's finest underground hip hop heads - Bad Taste Crew. Bad Taste is a hip hop/electronic label out of sheffield consisting of a number of sub groups, solo artists, producers and djs. It also operates as a night running on the last friday of every month at Ehtio Cubana in sheffield city Centre.

The collective includes the groups Suspects, Marauders, Deadbeat and Shadow People as well as solo artists such as Trellion, Darkstorm, K verse and Miggy Manacles and the electronic outfit Squire of Gothos.
