Awful tunes in the Dubs section...

What the real problem is, is that people are trying to BE Skream or Benga instead of being themselves and maybe making some decent tunes that have their own sound to them. That said, I've heard some fucking bangers in the Dubs forum. MAYBE 1-2 per page are usually pretty decent.

I have to agree about not being able to accept criticism though. Skream, Benga, Caspa, Rusko, Mala... dude there are mad beard strokers out there who make their name off of slaggin those guys and their releases. If you're not ready to put a tune up and have 1 person love it and 3000 people hate it, you're not ready to put your tunes up.

Best thing that could happen to that subforum imo, would be to make a emmbeded player so people couldnt download. Meaning that all the "sick tune, 320?!" posts would go and people who want it will actually get some feedback.

Maybe this thread shows that the dubs section should be split into some kind of sub genres. If your tune is going to be on page 3 after about 10 minutes, there's no way anyone's going to listen. It would also mean people would be able to avoid the "filthy" tracks if they choose...

And for the record, shit though it is, the wobbly shit is still THE SHIT in the eyes of many people. It doesn't exist on the level that it does without there being demand for that type of tunes.

I haven't put any of my stuff in the Dubs forum or up on the internet in over 2 years even though my stuff was well received and people even asked to release some of it. I didn't think my tunes were up to scratch, so I've been sitting at home quietly working on tunes since.
It's getting to the point where I am happy with my tunes musically and technically so look out for some bits soon...

Maybe more people need to take this approach
