this is a new one i made up, it just involes setting the root note in the FL channel window

obviously since all white notes = C major when the instrument is tuned to C5, all white notes will be B major when you tune it to C#5 (it moves down as you go up)

same is true for minor notes, you won't be using minor second or tritone because they aren't in the inverals, and you won't be using major sixth unless you're playing the melodic minor

i find that this gives you the 2 full octaves in any key
This is gold. I was going to say I didn't get one because 2 octaves means you actually only get one and a bit unless your playing in Cmaj all the time.

I just got mine earlier today from decks.co.uk for 53 quid including postage. Ordered it 4pm yesterday, so I highly recommend decks if you want to buy it (cheapest price on the net as well).

I've been out all day so I haven't had much time with it, but all I did was plug it in and it was working in Reason straight away. Gunna program the knobs in a bit, they look handy and have been having fun with the pitch bend and modulation. In hindsight, I would liked to have had a few more keys but it does it's job well and is a great little tool for production. I perhaps recommend you get the Oxygen 49 for 25 quid more, but if your on a budget like me, it could be a stretch too far. The good thing about a 25 is that it sits on my lap perfectly, it doesn't take up a lot of room and its simple to change octaves.

I've been stagnating a bit recently on the production front, and this is going to give me the boost I need.

i used to think that too until i made up that trick.

you get

major (c major/all white keys)
natural minor (c minor)
harmonic minor (c minor with augmented 7th)
melodic minor (c minor with augmented 6th and seventh)
pentatonic (all black keys)
chromatic (all keys)

dissonance is a part of music as well but this helps when im trying to make happy and sad harmonys, you can play like f# minor like this really easily
