Thing that pisses me off about the Golf is how you can't get leather factiry fitted, when I got mine, they were like "we can get you leather third party for £4000+VAT" yeah, sure pal, sure.

But yer, Scirocco kicks so much ass, I seriously love that car. They look even better than the promotional pics in real life too.

NOOO!!!!! that's gonna be too sick. i can't imagine how they could make it look any nicer though! 3.6 litre in a golf is going to be fucking insane.

Damn straight! You seen how much used GTIs and R32s are now? People can't afford to run them so the garages are getting loads in with no buyer which means the prices are crazy as fuck.

fuck me the things i'd do for a mk5/6 gti or r32. being 18, the insurance would just be stupid really. the insurance on mine is already over a grand.

Oh no my bad, It's going to be an R20....

The R32 was actually not as good as the GTI performance wise (or not as good as it should have been regarding the spec difference)....

So with their crazy new engine tech they're making a 4 valve AWD (I'm guessing 2litre) engined beast, also with a Turbo. It's gonna be 270hp which is 60 over the gti's....

This. A gti or r32 iis definitely what i'd choose for ragging around the place in on a reasonable(ish) budget, + practicality and very good looks.
Or the new evo's are absolutely orgasmic. just look pure evil.

new vws got to be the mrk6 r32 really... few of my mates are proper dubheads ones got a mrk1 golf 1.8ltr gti and another one has a sick corrado. i like caddies as well if they are done up well nice.

was gonna say they're called R20's not R36.

VW are already selling R36 passats, the problem is they're not actually very quick. i think 5th gear tested one round a track against a similar aged audi estate 1.9 TDI, the audi was quicker :S

Yer I just remembered reading a release saying about the Passat R36 and how they wanted to make the golf an R36 too. But this was along long time ago.....
