aggressive dancehall/ragga?

Post by jkhuri44 » Wed Sep 09, 2009 12:00 am

Hey guys,

im getting more into my dancehall these days, but have a bit of a problem..

its kinda hard for me to find the stuff i like....i hear it in sets all the time, but never know where to look...

I want the vocal style of people like Elephant Man, Sizzla, Bounty Killer, etc....but with harder/heavier club instrumentals... and also female stuff (which i just saw a post on)...

where is a good place to hear/find this stuff?

apologies if this thread has been covered already, i didnt see anything on quick glance.

digital / industrial dancehall: King Cannibal, The Bug, An-ten-nae, Eight Frozen Modules, Two Fingers, Senseless Records, etc.. even Major Lazer

as far as bashment goes I like Einstein, Aidonia, New Kidz, Andrew & Wada Blood, Demarco from the new wave. of course you need Beenie, Elephant Man, Busy Signal, Vybz, Mavado(dont like the last two myself), Ward 21, Bounty Killer, Assassin, TOK. they've got some sick producers too. everyone check out TARGET riddim, very crunkish (the so-called crunkhall)

youtube is full of dancehall and from there you can figure out what you want to get!

I'm following www.dancehall.mobi on twitter. Also www.reggae-vibes.com has some nice charts!
