looking for reggae influenced dubstep

Post by wileywile » Fri Sep 11, 2009 8:07 pm

Yo, Much respect to the Dubstep forums. I'm pretty new to the sound. Looking for good influence that bangs. I was heavy into dub till i found dubstep. Can anyone recomend any tracks and artist? Any reggae, and hiphop element is good. WileyWile from the West. Bless up

I been playing the hell out of Juju's bbq mix. BIG influence. Respect

Thank you! all great selections. All of you are too kind. Big bless. that barrington levy remix was tight. i thought about remixing some old ska and roots style ., making them bump with the wobble. Dub style. Much love

RSD!!! I am heavily into dub too and would heartily recommend this guy.

Quantum Soul will be worth checking out too.

Also, Disrupt's output should be of major interest - visit the Jahtari website.

Talking of dub, got a couple of classic re-issues on vinyl recently - Joe Gibbs 'Dub Serial' and Glen Brown's 'Dub From The South East' - man, I just love early 70's dub!

Good hunting.

My understanding is that these will be dropping together here in like a month or so... could be wrong, but I'll ask again.
