I've been getting tooth ache for the first time in my life for the past few weeks. tnuc has a thin layer of concrete hard plaque where the gum meets the tooth tho, so it's probably eating a hole in my tooth. Spose I should see a dentist about that, I get free dental work 8)
Fuck losing a tooth though, I couldn't handle that shit at this age

yes.

see a dentist.

you got infection maybe, leading to abcess. I'd be more worried about bone lose. infection can go unnoticed and eat away at the bone. they can fix the tooth easy as hell and the gums too. its fixing the bone that's fucking expensive on the level of buying houses and cars.

My 4 canine teeth are still milk teeth, and the adult teeth below are all growing in funny directions, 3 are still in the gums and one has come through above my top left canine. I am having this one removed next month and am likely to lose the milk tooth as well, the others i am waiting to see whether they cause me any trouble or not. I also have 2 extra teeth below my front 2 teeth but apparently these will cause me no harm.

I have never had a filling or anything and have to go under general anaesthetic to have this tooth removed, not really looking forward to it.

That sucks man... my dad has had problems with his teeth his whole life so I've always been really careful about keeping them healthy. My dad is 50 now and has a full set of dentures on his top row of teeth - he doesn't need to take them off ever though. A recurring nightmare of mine is looking in the mirror and seeing my teeth fall out!

It was hard at first but like most all of life's bullshit, you get used to it.

I once had a root canal operation on one of my teeth at the back cos it got infected and had an abcyss <(spelling??)

Because it was so infected the anaesthetic didn't work properly and i felt them drilling and digging out my tooth. That was the worst pain I can remember :x :x :x

Acctually a common nightmare among all people, wether they are teeth-prangers or not.

It shows severe anxiety, used to always have teeth falling out dreams around exam periods and around my parents split.

I've never had a teeth falling out dream, but I had recurring dreams for about a year recently where my teeth were fucking MASSIVE in my dreams and I couldnt close my mouth. Awesome shit. Probably anxiety related too tho, although I've been jobless and done nothing but partying for the past 11 months. I think I'm secretly neurotic as balls.

Makes sense... I haven't had that dream in a while and this year has been full of stressful shit!

Yeah, i had these kind of nightmares before, supprised to find it was common. Used to have some strange variations aswell, like one was biting into a chocolate bar and having my teeth come out into it. :|

Oh god the variations! I've felt my teeth come loose and spat them out, seen them fall out in the mirror, seen them go black then fall off, come loose in food, you name it.

the enamel wearing off can be from acid foods and certainly citrus.

the people who are having dreams about teeth falling out, are probably grinding their teeth in their sleep.

Man, my teeth are shit. So many cavities.

Pure Dentist phobia. I mean, properly shit scared, panic attacks, the lot.

And to makematters worse, the last time I went to a dentist he nearly killed me. The anaesthetic had a bad effect on me, and after the dental work, got up and completely passed out in the reception, cracking me head on the receptionist's desk. Cracked my face just below my eye.

Plus all the fillings he gave me fell out within a day or two. What a cowboy.

I've had years of bad experiences with dentists that have added up to the nly phobia I have. :(

Trouble is, I'm getting afraid to smile now as some of the cavities at the front have turned black. :( Gonna have to go back. Just typing this is making me tremble.

I HATE YOU AND YOUR FUCKING EXPENSIVE GUILT TRIPS, AND FAUX HOSPITAL VIBES!!!

But yeah, gotta go back before it's too late.

Had braces when I was younger, that SUCKED.
Had to have twin block ones, firstly to bring my bottom jaw forward - it was an inch behind my top jaw :o
And to widen the roof of my mouth.
Once that was done I had train tracks, they wern't as bad as the previous ones, but still bloody painful.
My teeth haven't stayed in place  But they are straighter than they were.

Man the last few days, i've been feeling the gums in back of my mouth on the left side hurt, from the wisdom tooth coming through I guess. It started the day after I kept messing with it using my tongue, irritated it I guess. It's really tender and I have to be careful when I chew stuff or else it stings like fuck.
Pass the opiates my way! :u:
