What are your favourite London venues for sound etc? I ask 'cause I've been to some pretty shoddy venues recently where the sound just wasn't up to scratch - not mentioning names tho.
Anyways my fav venues for sound etc at the mo are:
Gramaphone
Cafe 1001
Plastic People

I dont know why everyone stresses that the End is such a good club, I went to 1 FWD>> & Rinse there & was extremely dissapointed, with the soundsystem in particular.
Cafe 1001, PP & Grammaphone are a good shout, so is Corsica. Anyone feel Aquarium @ Old St, the sound is sick & they have a swimming pool, crowd is a bit prickish though.

Haven't been to the Aquarium for like 10 years odd. Never seem to be any nights there now that are cool. Back in the day tho different story.

Plastic People
Corsica Studios
Only been these once, but sound seemed pretty decent in there:
The Arches
Area
The sound in The End was not the most amazing, but vibes there were always good.

Back in the dayz we used to sit cross legged in a circle at DMZ and signal the DJ with joss sticks.

This is the one, really. Only been there once and maybe wasn't in an entirely objective frame of mind but my recollection is that the system in room 2 made the Plastic People setup sound like something assembled by Fisher Price.
But I'm kind of fussy about soundsystems - Plastic People always strikes me as having tinnitus inducing high / mid but no real sub weight unless you scrap to get into the right place on the floor...

whats wrong with ministry? albeit a bit pricey and usually a bunch of big name sellout doosh dj's, its a pretty nice venue with some hot chicas.
anywhere in brixton is a bit too grimey for me. as a white boy getting off the tube in brixton, i feel like i'm about to get stabbed.

Cargo is a decent venue. Good sound although could do with a little more sub. And again lots of hot chicas.
