I find it pathetic that lots of people here doesn't like La Roux cause it's "pop music". There's lots of awesome pop music out there, and La Roux is one of them. Fuck the "mainstream sucks" bullshit. Being popular doesn't make your music bad. Will you go away from the Dubstep scene when it'll get more mainstream?

As for Tinchy...I don't know...I like Grime but fuck....Grime is supposed to be energic and raw, not cheesy and cliché. Sure, he's got some good tracks...Actually, I also think he's got a really mototone voice that sounds really childish.

I don't like La Roux because it's shit not because it's pop music. I don't like the Skream remix either, I'm not gonna hype it just cos it's Skream. It sounds awful. Better than the original but I'm not gonna be listening to it in my yard or bumping to it on the dancefloor. Just pointless

Belive me it's not just because it's pop music, that's a bit of a sweep. I hate her because her music is shit & she had no right saying that about tinchy, my g/f showed me an interview of her in a magazine, saying she didnt want to look like a scenester & have a fringe/quiff. LOOK AT HER HAIR. What happened then love? The skream rmx is pony, so are all her tracks, she is way too try hard & her arrogance is off the scale. I've got no time for these indie stnuc at the best of times, but her, jesus, Skream made you famous init.

Also, she goes way back on what she says, in the interview she claims she hates hipster's & scenesters but in a photo of her before she was famous, she is at least a size 12/13, has normal hair down to her shoulder's, looks healthy....Now look at the state of the tnuc. If I were her I would invest in a wire wool brush & get scrubbing, cause you look like a crack whore.

exactly what i thought.
btw thats not a good thing
bruv you are only going to make generalizations about this whole issue anyway, so zip. it.

your whole knowledge on this issue has come from a handful of youtube video's of tinchy & you only bigging up La Roux because Skream rmx'd her shitty track.

it's like me going on about some american hip hop issue, my ignorance toward it would be tenfold

From Saturdays Guardian Guide singles review

La Roux I'm Not Your Toy (Polydor)

Elly Jackson opened her mouth a lot this year, but whether opining in interviews or singing on records, little of worth has come out of it. Her staggering ignorance is rivalled only by her lack of talent: the woman cannot sing. It's a laboured nag set to the same tinny Casio preset as before, the one that reimagines Yazoo as a child's Fisher-Price toy. Jackson has had the gall to accuse R&B of meaningless lyrics, but her own are trite and empty; she comes across as a sulky girl with nothing to say and an unlistenable way of saying it.

Tynchy Stryder? The guy from that N-Dubz song? Fuck off!

And don't credit Skream with giving LaRoux the break. THEY (coz there's two of them) were on Kitsune 6 way before. There was a lot of buzz about them in the internets way before Skream did his thing.
Feedback wanted.

La Roux is probably alright if you're 12 years old.

Bulletproof sounds like a cross between Yazoo and Kim Wilde which is ok if you like that sort of thing.

In For The Kill is a terrible tune though. Her voice is proper AIDS.

... but let's face it, I'd rather have her on the box than the fucking Kaiser Chiefs. I love guitars, but girlpop > lagered student indie as mainstream pop ANYDAY.

I like pop music. Im the 1st to say when a pop tune is good but, La fucking Roux is shit. I remember when i 1st heard that tune (in for the kill). I was in my kitchen making some food and it came on the radio and i actually felt embarrassed for her, for the radio station and for all the people that think that thattune is good. Post modern ironic shit i still SHIT.

who gives a fuck if the pope came out tomorrow and said "dubstep is shit"

why bother putting value in someones opinion whom you don't like or care about?

maybe maybe not

you never can tell these things. pop stars take drugs

if they take LSD...well the chances of them being remembered shoot up immensely
