Dubscover has reached its third instalment, and they are back @ Gramaphone, for another completely FREE party! Get ready for some big, fat & heavy low frequencies from a selection of the finest fresh and undiscovered artists in Dubstep!
First up they have ‘Pesky Plates’ label owner, Ed West! While spending his time producing and performing, Ed also works for ‘Load Media’, managing their A&R department for Dubstep labels, and heading up their digital distribution wing.
Next up is We Are Dubists, who are a collective of Jungle influenced bass loving DJs & MCs that love to play the latest tunes, with a massive collection of classics from the golden ages of Dubstep and Jungle!!! Defo not one to miss!!!
They also have huge support from Dubscover 002 Winners Syte & O-Dessa (Kryptik: Elementz). Cath them on SubFM every Friday 18:00-20:00, and also check out their new label Open Earz Recodings!!!
Last but not least they have IL-V aka Ben McIlveen, from Clapham, South London. Ben, who is one of the Altar residents/promoters, started out as a Jungle DJ, and didn’t really follow Dubstep. However, after listening to artists like; Martyn, Jus Wan, Ramadanman, Untold, to name a few, he was influenced to collect and DJ more Dubstep. IL-V likes to play music that stands out above similar sounding throw away tunes that proliferates both the Dubstep and Jungle scenes... Expect good music, and flawless mixing!!!
At every event each artist has 1 hour to perform, and a further 20 minutes to help you to decide who is the best! All you have to do is scream and shout for your favourite artist!!!
What is even better is that they are offering this all for FREE! Also, for the first lucky 30 people through the door there will be a free jelly shot waiting for you, and there will be more freebies throughout the night.
£2 for a Stella bottle before 11pm, and £3.30 on all pints, all night.
