this is nice, i like the melody of it, it might sound a bit better if you toned the synths down just a tiny bit, but it doesn't really matter it sounds good. check out my new tune, it's a sick as sin remix. not dubstep but it has wobble, i haven't had any feedback yet.

You've got a nice ambient-ish sound there, I'd put a bit more effort in your snare.

Latest song I've made, put alot of time in my hihats and snare, I hope you'll notice.

Hi all, I haven't posted much on the forums, because I thought I was too big of a noob to say even a word.
But now I'm drunk enough to post my myspace link here, and ask for some feedback.
Could you please tell me what you think of my song "Cremated Ode"?
I have another song I'm working on (the first one "Untitled [WIP]") but it's still a work in progress.

Thanks, guys!

cheers

EDIT:
You can listen to the track here:

Hip-Hop had the advantage of being born before the age of information (the internet).
It had time to develop naturally into the complex subculture it is today. Dubstep didn't have a chance.
If Hip-Hop was a fully developed husky feared by millions, then Dubstep is the inbred chihuahua on steroids incapable of living but adored by billions.

Sounds really good man! Listening on my Mackie HR824s - sounds big. I bet dj's like Subhuman would play that. If you threw me a 320 I'd probably play it a bit too.
Send it over!!

Large ups.
I guess I'll say while I'm here the new one is in my sig. Not quite done yet. Hope you enjoy.

Really liking the melodies in this one. Percussion needs to trade place with the synth that sits on top.
But whatever who gives a damn the tune has a lot of heart. Bigups.

Nah it's not bad man. Another melodic tune - good work. It's got heart. As constructive feedback, I would say that the snare could be revisited. It seems like it doesn't move enough. Maybe you could take two different snares and layer them with what you have, then alternating them back and forth so it sort of steps back and forth with every snare hit. Something like that. Just an idea. Like this one though.

Wow, that.. would be amazing. Like.. The last thing I expected was a response like this.
I'll send you my MSN in a private message - add me and then I can send it over, if you do mean it.
I suck at EQ-ing, that's probably my biggest problem; You might hear the limiter screwing the track up at some parts.. I don't know.
I mean, to me, it's fine, because I'm not experienced, but to you, or anyone who hears my "mistakes", this might sound like scratching a chalkboard. :(
Anyways, I'm sending you my MSN address.
Thanks again!

@ Lowpass Funny thing, I was thinking that exact same thing about what I have been doing lately. I actually really like your tune though, the bassline is expansive in an interesting way. After hearing it for a few bars I started to get uncomfortable with it though, I think because of the processing some frequencies were always there regardless of the note. Even though the notes of the bassline were moving some elements of it seemed static. I hope that helps you, not sure if it made sense.

@ Quit I agree that the drums are quiet, but I like the drum pattern that I do hear. The synths have a very nice clean sound that would lose little effect even if they were turned down to a lower volume. I would try doing that, it would probably sound more balanced overall.

@the-Devo I am listening to this for the third time right now. Don't really know what else to say. Props.

@ wwwmoo I am hearing the vibe you are going for, but to communicate it to the full effect I think this still needs work. The first thing I would do is turn down the wet on the phaser on the main synth. The phaser is kind of overpowering the melody, and everything else in the song for that matter. Alot of the time with effects less is more (I am a total hypocrite telling you this by the way).

@ decklyn I certainly am enjoying it. The song has a very strong progression to it. My one complaint, I think the drop at 1:56 would be stronger if you had the bass fade out completely before it. The other elements of the song communicate the drop very effectively, but as I was listening it the first time I feel like I missed some of the feeling of the drop because I was still locked into the 56-1:50 bassline. Hope that made sense.

I really wanted to try and get everyone on the page but it took longer than I thought, and I need to be somewhere soon. Maybe I will get a chance later to do more later.

Anyway, I cranked this out on Saturday, with an idiotic grin plastered on my face for the duration of the entire production process. Please tell me if you like it, but more importantly please tell me if you don't like it. Mercilessly crush my hopes and dreams. I need to know. Seriously.
