Favourite Label ??
Favourite Label ??
Simple, non negative thread;
Which label do you like the most and why?
For me its between Tempa and Boka at the moment;
Tempa as it has a massive catalogue and is diverse with its artists/releases
Boka seems to put out some real heavy weight 12s
Looking forward to more from Gangsta Boogie as well... love their line up.

Adna Cigarra
Caters to the fans of the "deep" side of dubstep. Heavy subs, great artists. Beautiful label.

Rottun/EX7
cuz man, I love Datsik, and all the rest of the Rottun guys are so sick. I think Excision has a real vision for EX7, super excited for what's coming in the future!

gotta love hyperdub

Re: Favourite Label ??
DMZ, Deep Medi and Hench.
Always have massive releases that outshine most of the shitty generic stuff thats constantly floating around.
Tempa, Hyperdub, Kapsize and Dub Police are all quality labels too.
Edit: Oh, lets not forget about Disfigured Dubz either

Hyperdub.
Consistently brilliant output and consistently breaking boundaries.
Planet Mu, Apple Pips, Hotflush, DMZ, Tectonic, Tempa and Deep Medi all deserve a mention too, as do many others.

Re: Favourite Label ??
Tempa for me as an overall label - Although there are better single tunes on other labels with Tempa there isn't a single release I don't like
Re: Favourite Label ??
oh, and Tectonic.

Daynjeriss Redarick
Nigerian 419 Movement
Bluddy Nukkilz
40Hz & 40 Nightz (not my thing really)
Melanie Twenty Five (M25)
Password 10 & CosmosChimp (a.k.a Jomo Kenyatta II) - pan-african spoken word over deep bass
Banshee (pretty much a Skream knockoff...but a few interesting tunes, don't expect anything mind blowing here though)
Slippaz
Salid Tossah
fairly new label...can't seem to find out where they based out of. They have no myspace, no bandcamp, no nothing....a few bits here and there on casette tape.
if I were you I wouldnt spend time trying to track them down. I heard they got a compilation coming out next month though.
