What do you mean? are you looking for a program to record a mix from decks, or a program that you can put together a mix with, e.g. ableton?

Mixmeister Studio is pretty good but the cost for the full version is a bit steep if your only doing it casual like :? Still very good to play around on though :D

EDIT: Reading back does anyone know of any cheaper/free alternatives to mixmeister as i would like to put my mixes out there but cant be doing that with the recorded noticed over them.

Fruityloops is good, and I'm pretty sure you can find it for free on the net, or at least a good trial. There are heaps of software packages which are all good for making songs/beats. I use ableton live 8 and am very happy with it, as it offers not only production but live performance aspects. Sony Acid, Reason, Sound Forge, Logic... there's not really a best program, just lots of good alternatives.
