Converge topic made me think of them by association...any big ups for At The Gates?

Loving their early dark atmospheric DM as well as Slaughter of the Soul. Former more than latter usually, though my preference changes with mood.

Early 1990 (Love it when old school DM uses those eerie synths):


Later 1995 (Most modern metalcore bands rip off this album shamelessly:

I also loved "Terminal Spirit Disease". Pretty much everything they did was wicked.

"Slaughter of the soul" has had loads of riffs nicked from it by all these crap metalcore bands you get these days.
