A little info:
RDK (Radixs Dread Knot) Hi-Fi was established by Markie Lyrics in 1989 in Brixton South London. They began by making their name playing at warehouse parties and blues dances. Some of their most famous sessions took place at the Cooltan in the early 1990s which was actually a squat in the building that used to be Brixton's dole office. They were also closely associated with the Legalise Cannabis Festival. They are one of England's best travelled Roots sounds playing all over the UK and Europe. However this will be their first time in Sheffield for over fifteen years.
For over ten years Markie has been working with Reggae producers like Russ Disciples and Nick Manasseh on RDK's own Universal Roots record label. They have been behind some of the all time classic UK Dub recordings including 'Put Down De Guns' by Sandeeno.
