@melodik: a lot of the glitches on the vox were done by hand in abeltron, but some of it was done automating effectrix and turning on and off various delays and verbs

@my fickle eye: really like the drums, great half time triplet feel. There are some real bad clicks in it tho. Also the sub is too muddy. its nice and deep, but it has too much of the second harmonic. and one of the mid range basses sounds slighty out of tune. try detuning the oscillators equally away from 0 instead of just one of them, if thats not what you are doing...I also think that sound needs some more subtractive eq and maybe a bit of highpassed verb to it to make it sit better into the mix. I love the guitar and high end synth work...great melodic idea, also great outro and intro. really like the structure of it too. its a great track that just needs mix work and some mastering to really bring it to its full potential

last and least: you've only given feedback on one persons track in the last several pages, give some more feedback before begging for some for your own.

As for your track, the bass is too low, can barely hear it. Your whole mix sounds like its hard limited to hell, turn it down and leave some breathing room in there. Needs more drum variations and general stuff to drive the track along. right now its kinda meandering with no clear direction, which i know is kinda the point with this style, but i think it could use work in that area none the less. Guitar sounds like its clipping digitally, not with an amp sim or saturator, so you might address that with more or better quality processing, or if it is clipped going into the computer, rerecording it. The synths and guitar work are musically nice, just needs to be produced better. Also, if you are going for more of an ambient type of thing, you might try different drums...right now they sound too hard and precise in the context of the rest of the track...maybe try some more unconventional sounds so that the rhythm is more of an abstraction than a copy of a drum set. Dont be afraid to use lots of delays and verbs on them as there is enough space in the track to allow for some atmosphere around the drums. Also it needs some points where its more stripped back...right now its like a monolithic block without much of a dynamic curve. Just my .02

i have tried giving feedback in the past, but its shit. i know its not really an excuse but i really am bad at this...
.... you however know what your talking abt, this is really appreciated.... thankyou...

in relation to the bass, i didn't really want to hear it, just have the physical effect, but i reckon i will ad a sub cut bass line in the second after a break..

Hey think you need to have more of a build up before the track kicks in with the beat, like just the melody without the drums, the start sounds to abrupt. The guitar is a nice idea but i think you should ditch the power chords and just stick with the lead, its a bit out of tune.

The snare is a bit to loud i think you should choose a softer snare unless your gonna have a bassline in there to compensate, stands out to much on its own.

Ithink for an ambient track you could do with a few more textures in there as well, maybe bring a bass line in and out to add variation, or do some more automation on your synths.

Would love to get some feedback on my new track, its the one in my sig. I think I'm just about getting to the end of what I can do with it, but I'm not sure if i've taken it in the right direction, the end is very similar to the middle and teh sound remains pretty similar throughout... Tell me what you think anyway, Feedback will be returned.

I like the intro, i like the actual sound of the bass, but not too fond of the bass line itself.... And the guiatars work really well, maybe could be a bit more melancholy. The second bassline in the build up sounds a bit oom papa.... kind of german.... and theres a bit of clipping as well. I can't really judge the sub cos my speakers aren't up to scratch...

So trebles and leads are good

Drum beats are kl, triplets are there and are really groovy and good selection of samples

Bass line needs a bit of change up in tune

i can confirm that the bass isn't powerfull enough. (sitting right now in front of my monitors :D )
still it's a fine chune like the athmosphere beat is nice but can have some more variations maybe.. but i'm probably not the right guy to judge, i'm also quite a beginner at producing ;)

@legendary: you got just the right snare in 'just one drop'. i like the arrangement, sounds quite good. but unfortnatly i'm not in the studio so i can't really tell anything bout the bass.

all in all it's a nice tune!

after getting a feedback to my last track I worked again on it, and i think i now got a better rythm, more variation and better mixup.

hopefully. :D

biggups for the feedback - not that fussed about the bass everything above 100hz is what i care about the most :)

your tune:

I feel the sample and the drums are the best part of this track, it switches up way to much, it don't really flow much - I can see what you're trying to do progression wise but without sounding harsh, think it needs some more looking into! keep working on it though.. Just remember - progression should be subtle and flow like it didn't even happen, like a good DJ blends between tracks and you dont' even realise its a new track - you have to do that but keep the same concept throughout the track :)

Automation and staying in key / vibe is key.. Don't bring in to many harsh sounding elements - unless you introduce them well - otherwise it'll sound messy and under produced.

Good luck & sorry if I sounded harsh.

@legnd4ry: One drop is sounding good. the mix is super clean and precise, a bit too much for my taste, but it sounds big and punchy and there is plenty of room for that nice big clean sub. One criticisms I have is that the lead line (starts fading in at 2:55) is a bit too monochromatic. it could go off into some more linear excursions instead of just playing the same 4 notes over and over...maybe just theme and variation stylee. Overall I think it could be a bit more dramatic, but its good as is too.

my track is at the top of page 90, if you wouldn't mind giving some feedback. thanks!

Big ups, the track is like opposite to what you said to mine haha, very gritty and obscure, not sure what to say about this - the mix is nice and everything seems in place I can't really comment on it musically because i can't really hear much whats going on over the distortion haha - its well produced though :W:
all right.. finished up the tune... would be very glad for feedbaxk.. on my monitors it sounds very (!) heavy. lot of pressure, lot of bass. hope you hear & feel the same.

http://soundcloud.com/vulvavibration/subviolence
ye love the intro CHOPPAA! theres a bloke sitting in a cell who cant spell haha, i recon you should repeat that but pitch shift it and time stretch it in different ways. Quite different from my style, so not sure about the fullness definatly a minimal feel, sounds well produced. I think the arpegi synth is to quiet.

At 3.51 that should br brought out alot more!! i think you could have a dramatic drop there. :i:

Subviolence... only wish i could listen to it on a big system... :( :dubstep rave:

Also there is NO GUITAR ON MY TRACK!!! all vst and samples of synths
