Quite enjoyed that, could do with a bit of FX and like the other dude said, some more sub and maybe turn the midrange wobble down?!

Is that a carhorn I can hear?! haha
Theres something about that sample in this track that isn't sitting too well with me. It sounds almost out of tune with everything else that seems to be going on.

Its true, the rest of it is cheesy as fuck. I'm think I'm just going take the drums out altogether and just make it a short ambient piece. Any time I try to stick a bit of weight behind it, it just keeps getting worse.

Really cool sound you've got there. Sort of timbaland-influenced dubstep I guess? Feels like it would sound cool with a vocal. In any case it needs some heavy subs to get things really going. The kick punches nicely but the whole thing feels a bit un-planted in the absence of some really heavy bass.
Timbaland, somebody else mentioned that to me. I went through a trance faze in the late 90's, so that's prob where that comes from. I will be working with an MC on an upcoming release for 2010 and I am working on sounds and what not. With a better mix I can bring out the bass more, or maybe I can switch it up a bit.

Thanks for the compliment.
Reminds me of Joker, not a bad thing in the slightest.

love the riddim. subbass could be slightly heavier i think. wanted to say that the subbass maybe needs more melodic variation, but i's a 14sec sample just not enough to bring out that critic
looking foreward to your chune man!

oh man this is so good! honestly, i know this is a work in progress thread and by no means can i do better than most people on here, but many tracks i hear on here are so sub par, boring and generic. this is nice and fresh, i love how that heavy drum pattern drops straight in at the beginning, great atmospheric synths, and that lovely jazz trumpet tops it off for me. maybe try spice up that wobble bass abit, don't really know how. anyway good stuff/

2nd song i made....lookin for some feedback. if you leave some for me i'll return the favor.
i feel like there's a few problems with this one....but it's hard to tell from listening to it so many times, plus all i got to monitor on is some shitty cd headphones. i think the sub might not be in tune, and im pretty sure the 808 kick isn't in tune. the problem im having is i cut the kick and snare out of loop that had some other melody sound over it and you can sorta hear it...tried eqing it out but didnt have much success, and i can't find any other kick that fits

. i think it sounds alright otherwise but its hard getting perspective on yr own stuff sometimes

aaron peipert......pretty goooed man....can definely see the timbaland comparison and thats a good thing. nice rich palette of sounds. would like to hear more variation and maybe a drum break with some energy. not sure if it's really dubstep or not but then i dont know if thats what you were going for.either way the sounds work really nicely together. i'd like to hear where you take this one!
darigan....i actually liked this a lot and didn't think it was cheesy at all....sounded pretty sick and deep to me....love that second drop. sounds like you know what you're doing.
j silver....has a pretty weird/fucked vibe that i can dig. i think the tune might benefit with more variation in the drums and more space in the song, maybe some quieter parts to give a lil more dynamic. also i think the bass would sound a lot better if you worked on the build/drop more, instead of just bringing it in. but i dunno, if thats what you were goin for then it's all cool. really liked one of your other tracks so keep it up man you'll get there
drift....damn man, really a pretty awesome track you've got goin on here. really nice lush sounds. no complaints really, might be cool to make that mid bass a lil more interesting, maybe more movement within the sound, or a different waveform in the layer, maybe a more hollow grimey bass? i dunno man sounds like you also know your shit, you should be giving me advice!
dansu...whoa this shits pretty funky man. really like that 2nd synth melody that drops a bit into it. shits crucial. cool vocal sample, the way you use the sounds together works pretty well. i can see this being a pretty big tune at a dance. only complaint is those highs are maybe a tad too peircing...other than that its a sick track. keep it up bro!
bradicle....cool vibe...it's different. i think the song could use a bit of space to breathe tbh
dr dub.....really sick track. you got some weird ass sounds going on here but they work really well together. dig that shaker and the reverb'd snare and that you bring in new sounds to keep it pretty damn fresh. maybe a tad repetitive tho, especially towards the end but otherwise i'd say its the shit. props bro
