Deffo RENOISE! renoise without a doubt, so easy to use and quick!
too many people use fruityloops.. not saying it's bad but, it's got a bit of a reputation for being used by teens to make awful donk music.

It's also got a reputation for being used by Skream and Benga to make classic dubstep.808_sustained_bassdrum wrote:Deffo RENOISE! renoise without a doubt, so easy to use and quick!

Re: serious question: Which DAW to use?
In all honesty, I wonder what Benga is using now.
Re: serious question: Which DAW to use?
As of last year at least it was "...FruityLoops for making the drumloops and Logic as DAW for mixing and arranging. The synth he uses is the RobPapen Albino."nowaysj wrote:In all honesty, I wonder what Benga is using now.

Yeah saw that, that was a while ago. Wondering if he changed it up.
Re: serious question: Which DAW to use?
I remember reading something about ableton...but I'm positive it was only for live performances with magnetic man or something.
honestly, i wouldnt be surprised if he was still using logic. in the production masterclass vid there that shit didnt crash ONCE. if you have a sick computer I guess that's how it goes

Re: serious question: Which DAW to use?
we write all our stuff with an 8track super-glued to a carp...one day we'll upgrade to a large mouthed bass for the, y'know, extra bass
Re: serious question: Which DAW to use?
i'm currently the first person to use DAWedit which creates a program based on your needs.
fuck synthedit
within DAWedit you can also design your own plug-ins. I'm lazy though, I'm just gonna duplicate ones that I like:
Blueline Reverb
Vintage Delay
PSP Nitrox
Tall Phasah
etc etc
will report back with the results in about 6-10 months.

I use a broken rubber band and one of those greeting cards you can record a message on. I mean, really, anybody who needs anything more is just a cretin and doesn't even deserve to have ears.
