lfo and waveform question

Post by djlotus86 » Tue Oct 20, 2009 2:24 pm

i have been at my computer for the past 13 hours trying to recreate the bass from benga's "crunked up" track. i am very very frustrated right now to say the least...after trying what seems like every freaking combination of waveforms and octaves and oscillators i feel like i am stuck in a hole and i cant get out....so my question is...what exactly are the spectral waves (i am using albino 3) and is anyone familiar with the track i mentinoed above..thank you

This isn't the same but here is my quick attempt. To me it sounds like there is no LFO being used, rather there are 3 24th notes for the lfo like effect in the first 3 notes. the harmonic layers he uses are revealed at 2 mins. Yeah so its not quite on the mark but maybe this will help. http://dl.getdropbox.com/u/58002/crunktest.FXP
