Recommend me a Mixer

Post by trike12 » Wed Oct 21, 2009 9:08 pm

i'd really like recommendations on a good DJ mixer.
been looking at the pioneer djm400, definately dont want the djm300.

anything in the same price class or cheaper that is decent or actually good?
and also when buying a mixer except for sound quality, what should i loof after?
i have no idea where to begin.

@ dza i doesnt look that well build either plus at that price you can be sure that the kp features are cheaply done.

@ lojik Thanks! i think i might go for one of those, just want to hear what people thinks of the a&h first.

the a&h are great mixers but so are the vestax
if any local shops have em in stock go and give em a test run and pick out what feels best.

Im a bit of a diehard A&H fan. I would snap that baby up! Hand made in England, and the filters are amazing! A&H quality, VS Vestax scratch-ability... Hmmm

really?! since when? :(

[cornish rant]
to be fair though, Allen & Heath were never produced in England.
they're made in Penryn in Cornwall. Cornwall isn't part of England historically.
Cornwall used to have different names...one being West Wales...we were kind of just claimed by the English government many hundred years ago when they realised how good we are.

we've got our own language, our own flag, our own customs, our own food, our own sports and all sorts! we SHOULD've had our own government for a few hundred years, but no...

I'm not English, I'm Cornish!
while i'm at it...FUCK OFF SOMEWHERE ELSE FOR YOUR HOLIDAY, ALL OF YOU!!!
[/cornish rant]

OT
can't go wrong with:
any Rane mixer
any Allen & Heath mixer
most Vestax mixers
