I know its 2 years old but.....
I thought some of you producer-philes would get a kick out of this.
Being live sound techs for two decades, we make our own cables and have a roll of cabling and a supply of ends on us at any time. Many different cable companies used to approach us and talk their expensive as all hell components up like it had a huge impact on the listener.
Oh hey, if you're looking for the ultimate in sound, we've got half a meter of oxygen-free, triple-wrapped double-insulated Sonically Shielded AmpliSized Egyptian Llama cable here that we'll part ways with for just a couple grand.
Can I get Alpacas instead?
A-B on different types of cables.

wow, the effect of charging people heaps to make them think something is good should not be underestimated it seems.
could it be though that more metal makes for better conductors?

just glanced at this, but seems like they also said that a few of the audiophiles could tell the difference between the monster 1000's and some other cable, but not the difference between the coat hangers and the monster. Would suggest a gauge issue. Again, just glanced while nodding off
