Born and bred in Croydon, 19-year old Justin Cantor, a.k.a Lost, is the latest addition to the acclaimed HENCH crew. Somewhat of a child prodigy, Justin started DJ-ing at an early age, and got his first set of decks aged 12. He recently was named alongside Emalkay and 16 Bit as one to watch in Radio 1xtra’s ‘Future Sound of Dubstep’. We’re proud to present Lost’s debut release on the Hench imprint and are sure that you’ll enjoy it...
A. IRONHIDE
Lost creates a seriously atmospheric mood from the start in Ironhide, building to a subtle drop of one mean reverbed wobbly bassline. A real creeper of a tune, the open hi-hat progresses throughout, giving way to a double time feel that’ll keep heads nodding. This is one serious weapon for your bag!
AA. SLAUGHTERED
Flip over for another bass-led rhythm, from Lost. Pushing a different tone from the A side (yet no less menacing), ‘Slaughtered’ immediately surrounds you with its rolling filtered wobble. This is one futuristic sounding bass riff. An echoey drum loop helps create an ambience and suspense to this track. With such a distinct vibe, you’re guaranteed to have the crowd putting their screwface’s on when this gets dropped.
DJ Support for both tracks from: Hatcha, N-type, Jakes, Skream, Chef, Beezy, Shiverz, Darkside (Getdarker), Tubby (Newham Generals), Mista Jam (BBC 1Xtra)
These tracks from will feature in the HENCH Mixtape Vol. 1 (Due early 2010). The compilation is to be mixed by Jakes and will feature unreleased tracks from Papa ‘ench too. The release will also contain VIP’s of Jakes, Komonazmuk, Chasing Shadows, Lost and Giant, aswell as providing a platform for debut releases on the label from Minus, Tek-one and Mensah.

Limited Advance Promos:
A. WARNING (D*Minds Remix)
With a serious gear-shift up in the tempo from the original, D*Minds give Primecuts’ tune the drum and bass treatment. Creating an expectant build-up from the start, you can guarantee that when the trigger goes ‘Click’, the dancefloor will be heaving. With rolling drums to keep the people stepping, it’s no wonder that this tune’s been getting smashed by the scene’s big-hitters, including Andy C, Chase & Status, Grooverider and Hype.
AA.WARNING (Eddie K Remix)
When Eddie K’s remix sets in, you’d be forgiven for thinking that he’ll be pushing a more relaxed tip. But as soon as the bass enters the equation, it’s a different story. Chest-rattling bass, and synths streaming overhead – its no surprise that Dynamite’s vocal sounds just as much at home in this release as the original. Expect to see people throwing trigger fingers in the air when this gets dropped, already getting a serious seal of approval from Caspa.
