Re: ARE KRK ROCKETS ANY GOOD..
I got a pair of 8s last week and have been loving them so far... still getting used to their sound so can't really comment too much apart from the top end is definitely a bit harsh
Re: ARE KRK ROCKETS ANY GOOD..
Wonder if the 8's are harsher than the 5's, cause coming from ns10's, these krk 5's are like Cadillacs for my ears, smooth baby.

Re: ARE KRK ROCKETS ANY GOOD..
i can say krk regardless of size are ideal for bass heavy edm or hip hop once you get an ear for em and the dub isn't necessary, but can be handy but a bit overkill
whay i don't get people who need it to make a basic mixdown with heavy bass
almost like they don't have a reg speaker setup or use cheaper listening speakers to check mixdowns on
why i didn't take what nowaysj as offensive and hope he doesn't take this as

None taken, none given. Mine was honest question born of ignorance, I've never heard any of your subby stuff.
Maybe I don't have the maturity, but if I have a sub driven mix where the sub is taking up half or so of the headroom, but the sub isn't there, I start trying to fill up the mix cause it sounds too empty. When the sub is there and I can hear and feel it, I'm way more comfortable with a simpler, sparser mix.
That's what I don't get about the freq analyzer comments all the time - like just imagine what the sound is down there. That doesn't work for me. Why not just get a sub, and imagine everything above 80 hz

gen my tunes have mad low end, unfortunately most released are dancefloor midrangey
joys of industry and commercialism of music
why i'm doing the cd lp atm im self releasing

Re: ARE KRK ROCKETS ANY GOOD..
In between my ns10's and the krk, was a few years trying not to make music, just fucking around on my laptop with some jbl computer speakers... those mixes are bass heavy. Ha ha ha, those speaker had like no bass in them, when I listen to my old beats with the sub, I could knock the pyramids down. Lol.
