same as I said in the "unfinished tracks" thread:

don't like the trancey arp lead thing... don't like it very much at all, especially for this genre.

bass is alright, sounds a bit generic though.

whole thing seems lacking depth. dubstep is about the vibes in my opinion, and the speed off all the elements of this track make it sound like it is rushing, and not got that laid back feel.

snare is quite weedy. although that could be youtube compression at its finest.

First one is a remix of Trample the Eagle, the Dragon and the Bear, an incredible song by Alpha & Omega and Reuben Master on the vocals. It ain't no bootleg either!
Second is a rootsy tune with some dub samples from here and there.

Tell me what you think. Thanks in advance!
Anything to say 'bout these? C'mon!

Really liking the style of your tracks man they all sound really heavy nice reggae feel as well. Seriusly makes me feel like sitting in a room filled with smoke with way to many subs just chillin to dub :o nice atmosphere.

THIS TRACK IS WICKED!

Apart from sorting the kick out a bit i CANNOT find fault in this track. Big props to u mate. Its so chilled and 'acoustic' sounding. Such a refreshing sound from midrange ass droppings and wobble.
Only 2 pointers id give on this track are 1) compress the kick a bit - it could be much punchier, 2) if the background noise isnt intended then the recording is a bit noisey.

Mate, if i had a label id sign u fo sho

I really liked Chill and Casio, some great synths there, but RSPCatstep just made my ears bleed :D too much noise for me.

i hope that works ^

yeah this is my first dubstep track so feedback would be sweeeeet

yeah once again on the soundcloud embedding thing, you just need the url to your track within

Code: Select all

 [soundcloud] [/soundcloud]
tags.

Listening to your track now, first thing thats apparent is the drums really need mixing better. The kick and snare need to be significant louder than the percussion (both audibly and in terms of level meters etc) or in the club its gonna sound like fucking salsa or something.

Like the mixing up of the wobble sound in the second drop. The whole track probably doesn't need to be so long though. The lfo speed changes are giving it some variety but even then it does seem to be labouring one point if you follow.

First song though man its not sounding too bad at all, respect for that, my first song was utter shit (and my most recent ones aren't much better). I'd recommend you give the gain structuring sticky a read through as it'll definately help a bit in terms of getting the drums and that subbass to stand out in the mix a bit better.
