Sigha - let's discuss
Ok, I don't know much about this artist but I was listening to Mary Anne Hobbs' recent Experimental show and his tune Hold Your Heart Up To The Light was in the mix. This is some good shit! I thought. I looked up his discogs and he's a new talent.
You can still hear it while the show's up - http://bbc.co.uk/iplayer/console/b00nft8m it's the track right after Thom Yorke's. Like 6 mins in.
It sounds extremely atmospheric and "spacey", the tune, but overlayed with very dubstep-like beats. I can't quite place the genre, but I have heard "dubstep" like this.
Has anybody heard anything else from him, and does it sound similar? and what kind of genre or sub-genre is this? This is very much up my alley, I would love to hear more music that sounds like this

yeah Sigha is sick..
Two releases down so far, both on hotflush, both are very good, though I prefer his first one, it will tell you everything on Discogs tbh
As for the subgenre, I think its more towards berlin techno than anything else, so look into techno artists and the dubstep-techno crossover stuff. But to be fair to Sigha, there aint many people doing tunes like him, maybe even no one.
He did a hotflush podcast recently, so there would be a good place to start.

very nice, berlin techno or dubstep-techno. will look into it. off the top of your head can you name any similar artists, I know you said there aren't many like him - but I've heard similar music like this on Ben Ufo's Fact Mag mix if memory serves me right.
also he's going to be mixing for Mary Anne Hobbs on November 26th.. so I'm excited.
btw, u have a link for that hotflush podcast (i know im lazy and at work rite now)
