Man I gotta be frank, constantly interrupting Distance and literally pulling down the volume while he is mixing is so incredibly disrespectful and completely fucks up the flow for the people on the dancefloor, not to mention Distance himself, that I'm stunned this happened every few minutes all night. Moreover, it's not quantum physics folks, more like simply physics: If you jump up and down on the stage where the turntables are (and the turntables aren't suspended), THE RECORDS WILL SKIP. Seriously, shit like this is like the guy in the audience at a comedy show who doesn't shut the fuck up: you ruin the show for everyone else.
Maybe this is just how this crew throws their parties, but I left unfulfilled and disappointed and it was not even the DJ's fault. Distance's set at Dub War in NYC was epic, mainly, because he was able to mix uninterrupted.
I'm not postin this to talk shit on Mad Classy or anyone associated with it, but I feel this sort of feedback should be voiced so that ALL parties in the future will get better and better...
There were positives: the sound system was proper and there was plenty of room...
