recommend some newer electro (not electro house)

Post by ruckus49 »

i was at a rave this summer and this one dj was doing an electro set. he played a good bit of songs that didnt sound like electro house, but sounded more like the old school 80s planet rock type electro. that is, it had some of the retro sounds and rhythms, but modern production values.

This is a great little electro mix by Dj Placid, with no electro house in sight:

Enjoy.

pretty sure the dude would be playing some Skweee. check out stuff on Flogsta Danshall, Dodpop, Harmönia and that Eero Johannes record Planet Mu put out. the Skweee Tooth compilation is probably your best starting point.
