No im just saying there was one a couple years back for the people that dont know
Yep, I think they may have pressed a vinyl I am not sure.

I think democratic record labels are a bad idea. I worked for one too, it was a pain and in my opinion, tends to eliminate any chance for groundbreaking music and promotes samey-ness b/c democracy rules as opposed to the vision of 1 person or a small group.

Sorry to be negative, just being honest.
I kind of agree. That's why I suggest we elect people to run the label and let them do their thing. Also, the artists/djs should be respected/longtime members, not just random people who joined up to get down with the alpaca ninja massive.

Ok i just read all the post and it seem to be that there was a idea of this already but named "pressing issues" and on a vinyl format. however i just had a look at there releases and to be honest its not what i was trying to get at they got a Reso on reseals? now thats no where near what am about about Reso all ready there man his name is everywhere. Am on a about a digital label for member for the DSF with good tracks but un heard of or over looked. Of course now there are a number of facts to look into so am going to attemp t try and start these questions 1st.

1. Whats tracks, What artist? end of the day as much as we would like it not everyone can just get tracks out there.

2. Who judges what tracks to go out into the big bad world?

3. big debate about music taste, i know many people that are into the same type of music as me and even some personally taste as me. but then i know people who are into the completely different taste in make, it does not make there music "Shit" if something is different it dont mean its shit! we got to work what what boat everyone is one

4. We got to make a team, full 360 cover, as much as i would like to give everyone big bite of the cake i don't think it going to happen it has to be shared out but only to a certain extend.

5. Need to go down the pub for a meeting :D

Please carry on am liking the positive vibe

sorry for any bad English

^^ good post +1

would have to have some kind of voting system

and a way of separating the heavy dance floor tracks from the more atmospheric stuff

while it may seem like cats would be 'splitting the scene/causing a divide in the sound (oh no!! :o ) it would be necessary to label shit like

aggresive - deep - other

you could always make some sort of "ground rules" for a certain release. like this months release will be mainly heavy, face melting wobblers, while next months would be deep/atmospheric stuff. yay or nay?

well no is trying to categorize people and there music but its kind easy to spot what kind of music someone makes by listening to them? surely. but no one is trying to cause a problem by splitting anything up i dont think he meant it in that way.. and its a label not a scene we are trying to different between the two.

for example you would not see hot flush bring out some really bass heavy twisted wobbling stuff, because they only take up a certain type of music.

Why no just have two seperate sections to the label, so like two record labels being run by the same team, or even different teams which can combine for the more practical end of it with releases and contacts etc.

i got i idea for the song picking

we can have like A&R (old skool way) they find these songs, then it comes into the team management and from like 5/6 artist we make a thread on DSF to see what release they want...

heavy vs sub simple

But is not that a main aspect of the idea? its the members of DSF to be involved some way?

weren't yall just talking about 'no democracy'?

oh it was just one person who suggested. my bad :)

i think that assuming this goes down, when it comes time to start categorizing tunes it may be more difficult than those two categories. but I may be mistaken so who knows?

that where will be a problem when it comes categorizing songs?

well let the artist do that either in the heavy or sub but if you dont want be "branded" in such a way put it in others ?

that's pretty much it. like zomby or even joker for example wouldn't fall into either....TO ME. so I woulda put them in an other category. but perhaps to some else they fall into either of the two categories. if their music blurs the lines between deep and aggressive....and even goes off on some other tangent, that would be other wouldn't it? or maybe instead of putting it in Other you just put it in BOTH deep and heavy lol I don't know man.

just saying....it's not some big issue. just ideas.

yeah that would be a good example, joker i dont class him as hype or either deep tho, its just enjoyable to listen to, hence the "other" box. hmm i know what your on about, because i have created such a track, its deep and but the main bassline is a synth , now you might think wow he used a synth its not that point am trying to make its just i normally use a sub thats it! it nails it for my music. but the song is still meaningful its not a wobble but its still deep? So there would i put it, mostly still in the deep box.

Thats like saying l wiz girl from codeine city is hype!!!
