Dear lord.

How long has this joke been going on, and how much longer is it going to last?

Super lame... lets just leave it out yeah? On the Joe Nice show it kept getting mentioned and things like 'BAN BROSTEP' were being said. Why even bother recognising it as a real thing? All it is is damaging to the scene, its producers and listeners.
Its elitist bullshit and needs to stop. The End. :t:

Pretty silly interview but, "who doesn't like the dancefloor when its balls out bro?" did make me laugh quite a lot.

Interview of the goddamn year. Big ups for it!

And when it comes to the whole brostep thing, I think my bro SawtoothSam said it best

you got it all wrong, son. guess where the elitist bullshit is. as far as I know, ppl who like this "brostep" stuff also know DMZ, Hyperdub, Applepips, Tectonic, Hotflush stuff. does it work the other way around? guess not.. it's music, some like it ruff some like it mellow. grow up if you can't grow a pair. I don't know what is this damage you are talking about. what scene? your "elitist" scene up in Croydon? let the music play and if you dont like it at least show some respect as from human to human. if you want to bash other music try national-socialist metal or stupid MTV mainstream crap.

and for the record, I think there are more girls listening brostep (from Rusko to Excision) than pre-2006 "classic" dubstep. the rest of the "bro" motif is just jokes, self-irony, something some people will never be able to do because of their stupid ego. damn, do we have to turn everything into a competition?
