Boulderfist - New Producer as of TODAY!

Hey guys, Just decided to start making some tracks today. Feedback, comments, and tips are greatly appreciated. I would also appreciate honest feedback, I don't care if it sucks or not, I just started. http://www.myspace.com/boulderfistdubstep . Two tracks up, Get Bassted! and Kraken. Hey for one day into producing your not bad,
i would try to mix up the percussion a bit and try to get a bit more melodic, but thats just personal opinion

well, the spirit of the tracks are great; like, good heavy concept.

your drums get pretty lost in the mix, you could try a bit more compression on them or something. or sidechain the bass to turn down a bit when they hit.

and a few times i found those bass lines a bit repetetive. You could try something like replacing a few notes here and there with a different synth playing the same melody, or switching their octave or something, although that might be a personal taste thing..

really, I would just word on making that kick and snare pop a bit more.

but the ideas are there for sure. Those tracks are for real pretty ill, keep it up!

what program are you using? try to separate your cymbals/hats into separate channels, solo them, and cut out any frequency that isnt right where it peaks. then take the peaks down a bit too, to make them fit in the mix better.

create more bass synths similar to the original, and drag your same basslines into those and make it progress more.

Awesome man, thanks! I'm using FL studio 8. I was struggling with ableton for quite some time so I decided to try something else. Thanks for the tips! I'll keep you posted on new material.
