So if my xbox is in the living room and my router is connected to my PC in the bedroom would I need one of those wi-fi thingies to be able to connect if I didnt want to unplug everything?

In my opinion, these are best exclusive games for each platform:

360:
Halo 3
GTA 4 Episodes from Liberty City
Mass Effect
Call of Duty 2
Left 4 Dead 1/2
Gears of War 1/2
Ace Combat 6
Dead or Alive 4
Forza Motorsport 2/3
Dead Rising
Crackdown

PS3:
Uncharted 1/2
Demon's Souls
God of War 3 (coming soon)
Heavenly Sword
Heavy Rain (coming soon)
Infamous
Killzone 2
Metal Gear Solid 4
Motorstorm
Ratcher & Clank Future
Resistance 1/2

There's a lot more, but those are the ones that most people have heard of.

To be fair i dont have a HD TV but even when i have played games at freinds house's nothing is really :o .
When my 360 broke I decided to get Fallout 3 on the PC and the difference between the two was amazing. The 360 version looked like something from the PS1 in comparison, so the same maybe true for MW2.

Yeh seems PC's are the only way to get next level graphics. Shame no console can keep up really :? .

I disagree entirely. There's very few games where the pc version completely blow the console one out of the water. Usually is the just matter of a higher resolution and better textures. The fact that you sit a lot closer to the screen also helps.

None i have seen have totally blown ps3 or xbox's away. They seem to have that bit extra detail and realism to them though.

Ps3 all the way. never was, never will be a fan of anything by microsoft. com on..its a blu ray player, in a few firmware updates 3d gaming will be possible on ps3 as in you need 3d glasses. PS3 exclusives, and ps3 did Natal agesss ago with something called...playstation eye or eye toy, 1 of the 2. PS3 is the way to go.

Serious moolah.
$400 + here in Indonesia. Mine cost about $450 with headset, two wireless controllers, hard drive, etc. And we can't get the internet connection cos it's not fast enough here. Plus I believe they don't even sell the memberships here in the first place, probably because it'd be nigh impossible to find a game here that wasn't pirated.

360 has more and better games alot more exclusive's too, xbox live (online) cost the same price as a new game £39.99 for a years worth so its's worth it. Be warned they tend to break after some time, i am on my 3rd Xbox 360, but if you have the warrenty they fix it for free, i had a two year warrenty. If you dont have a warrenty it cost £60.00 to fix it so not to bad realy. If you can afford it get the Elite Xbox 360 that's what i have it, it has 120GB hard drive.

I'd be more inclined to say XBox 360. I'm not entirely sure about the PS3 now but buying one the day it came out was a mistake. I was always a playstation kinda guy and the PS3 was pretty great until the immediate novelty wore off and i realised how little it going for it despite the massive potential. Few games meant i spent the first few months making good use of the backwards compatability, the online was no where near the functionality of XBox Live, and after about a year of empty promises about making use of the potential it had, it just got ....well, boring. :|

After my brother got a 360 Elite i found myself enjoying that more and eventually sold my PS3 and bought myself one. I found myself enjoying it for games, plus all my freinds who had consoles had 360's so it was better to socialise online with mates. I managed to get the full HD out of my XBox with the component lead that i couldn't get out of the PS3 and it's HDMI lead :? and the multi-platform games (primary example - Assassins Creed) ran ALOT better on the 360 as frame rates on PS3 were piss poor and graphics were grainy and all around poorly adapted to the new console. Apparently the 360 still has twice the memory that PS3 has? :?

However, the PS3 is great if you value multimedia functionality, it was what i liked the most about it 2bh. The gaming on the PS3 was pretty shite but the multimedia is awesome; Blu-Ray, Photos, Music, and Video files, all made accessible through the USB and Blu-Ray drive (something shit about the xbox is that anything such as music you want to put on the XBox has to be burnt onto disc first even though it has USB ports). PS3 is also, i admit, still host to one of the best games i've played; Uncharted: Drakes Fortune (the release of the new one would convince me to try and get a new PS3 if they didn't abolish the 60GB model and only release the shitty downgraded one :x).

Plus, although the online gaming features on PS3 were crappy, the gamers were alot more casual, laid back, pleasant to game with and, well, in touch with reality! XBox gamers, if i can generalise for a moment, are generally bad tempered, overly aggressive, developmentally impaired, racist, and happen to think that console gaming is actually an acceptable primary role for them in life.

The Xbox360 still looks very good and has got good graphics... but it's ancient in computing terms and does give its age away, especially when it slows down if there's too much going on. My graphics card is more powerul than the xbox and some of the games I can play on my PC in full HD with 7.1 THX blow the shit out of the 360 and ps3. No point in posting screenshots or looking on the web as you won't get the benefit of HD.

You can have more physics and stuff going on such as bullet marks, ragdoll bodies and further viewing distance than a console on a PC.

Mate do NOT buy an xbox 360 with out a hardrive.

try putting NBA 2K6 in with the hard drive, and then without.

Without the hard-drive it honestly looks and plays exactly the same as the ps2 version

If you're looking to buy an Xbox 360, I'd go to Game or Gamestation at the minute. They're doing the elite, plus Forza 3 & Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 for £199.99. I got that deal yesterday after quite a bit of shopping about. Theres a few places doing an offer with the Wireless pack, which is essentially 2 shit games and an extra controller, + another game of your choice (but not the new COD). So it came down to whether I wanted 2 decent games and just 1 controller, or 2 shit games, 1 good game and 2 controllers.

At Game you can also pay an extra £15 or something for a two year warranty. So the second anything goes a bit wrong with the xbox, you can just take it back and swap it for a brand new one (they'll let you keep your existing hard drive so you won't lose your saved games etc either). I've done this 3 times with mine and have never had a problem - they swapped it for me within 5 minutes.

basically, you buy a console for its games. because thats what a GAMES console is.

blu ray? who gives a fuck. technically ps3 is better, but as a console its not. 360's pad is so much better for starters, and the online is way better. which is why you pay for online cuz your paying to use a DEDICATED server!

Um.. don't they use p2p servers and that is why the lag on consoles is so bad and they spend as long programming the game as they do making the net code efficient?
