Watched Pan's Labyrinth last night - joint film of 2006 with The Prestige, but saw the trailer of Perfume...intrigued.

Hopefully like any adaptation it will differ enough from the book to stand up by itself. There is no way that the book can be replicated, but there is enough potential in the reading matter to provide a fine screenplay.

I'll definitely watch it.

Actually just bought The Pigeon today, good reading matter at ast methinks.

wanted to see the movie but didn't get to it, pretty late here in belgium, haven't got a car and there are no busses after the movie's over.
i heard it's pretty different from the book?
