as there are many entries on spotify blog where we can read "aggregator didn't have the rights" etc so we removed as soon as we know yadda yadda" I feel like the general scheme is : aggregators send everything they have, usually without telling the label(s) they signed with (something like "eh you were ok for boomkat, I thought you were ok for spotify" ?
If you're in the "No way" category, feel free to share your reasons/vision, I'm all ears
Now the money part for those who're onboard
As Spotify completely refuses to discuss/disclose deals with any aggregator/label/artist, we have to rely on the other side to get info.
So far I see quite serious contradictions between what few artists shared as info and what was previously known/what aggregators disclose.
one member here (Alien Pimp) told us in another Spotify thread he got...4 cents for 160 plays... meaning hardly 0.03 cent per play.
I read something similar about some finnish metal band whose name I forgot
On the other hand, there were mentions of 0.1 cent per play previously on various articles , AND more surprisingly, i also read this from some french aggregator

not that I especially love the use of "anticipate" here ... so is this all a lie and the best indie artists will ever get from spotify is 0.03 cent per track played ?we anticipate the royalty rates to be 1-2 Euro cents per ‘subscriber stream’ and 0.1 Euro cents per ‘free stream’.
If you have tracks on spotify and can share some info about distribution, earnings & so on, plz share it too
