Are you talking about the dubstep project he made with Rodell, known as Machine Code or the d'n'b stuff ?
Anyway, I guess production is similar for both and the best place to ask would be DOA.

Can't really comment on drums but if you are after fat d'n'b basslines here are a few pointers :

he works in fruity loops, addictive drums and went to school for his trade. you're gonna want to learn and read up alot of compression

he is an expert engineer when it comes to what he makes i did a similar tune one time dubstep to dnb to transition my sets and got close on drums but his mixes are so compressed on every aspect but clean. takes years and loads of knowledge to do it

Yeah he has been doing this for approaching 20 years now so his engineering is very precise, and yet he is also quite minimalistic. If you go over to the grid, make sure to use the search feature as there has been countless threads about his productions.

A tight piccolo and a certain funk break...thats how i get my 'clang'...(Dead ahead and Turf in the player particularly, might be a close runner to the clangy sound)...http://www.myspace.com/purephase1

(edit: actually i pretty much only use the piccolo in everthing )
