making 'donks' in massive

any one got any ideas? i cant seem to get that clunky and slightly hollow sound. cheers

nah mate you need one of those big red boxes with a big button on the front that says "DONK". Its the only way.

ill explain more. don't know anything about massive but if it hasn't got FM then you're fucked.

you don't need any filters to make the donk.

you need 2 sinewaves, one of them has to be 1 octave above... now FM the low sinewave with the high sinewave about 70% and ADSR that FM with: 0-attack. shortish-decay. 0-sustain. 0-release.

if you have FM8 you can make a donk within the first 30 seconds of opening it up.

I might suggest googling for a donk sample pack. That is what I did and I came up with a nice pack witha variety of donks.
