Ahaa! ;)

I that case, I'd get down with the manual and learn about all the funky things Reason is capable of.

For instance, if you find that the standard ecf LP filter is to tame, why not combinate it and set the resonance to get stronger as the filter cutoff gets lower? (You can download my default patch on page 1 for an example of how this is done).

Combinators are really the key to making interesting and useful effects unit. Here are a few examples...

-Route the audio throught the waveshaper module on the malstrom for various saturation and distortion options.

-Stack multiple EQ's for filters with a steeper roll-off.

-Pass your audio through fx prior to a verb as well as after.

-Possibly run parallel fx series within a combinator giving two types of effect from the same combinator.

-Check out some of the combi patches I've made for extra ideas on stacking things within the combinator! (Available here ---> http://www.dubstepforum.com/big-thread- ... 45136.html)

Hi

I have been using reason for a little while now and i have a NN19 Sampler with a sample that has been stretched with some automation on it. For some reason i dont remember but i must of pressed publish song i dont remember doing this but hey. So it is now saved as a RPS not RPN i only realised this when i spent loads of time editing the RPS File only to find out that i couldnt save or copy and paste anything out fo the file. Is there anyway that i can achieve this i want to copy the NN19 and the tracks and put them in another file. Does any one at all know any way round this Cheers guys. Or maybe reverse the filetype or somink Hope that makes sense Cheers

Any one else having problems with Reason 3's file browser in Win 7?

It won't show any files in my user data folder. It does show files in the my documents folder within the user data folder...

Bloody annoying really..... :(

Any ideas on fixing the sample browser?

Another problem I have is that Reason now no longer recognises my default song, even though I have placed it directly in the Reason folder.... I haven't changed the song itself, nor is it saying it is currupt...???

hahaha, you two are hilarious!!

what you guys think of that Record? i wonder if it may have a bit better audio engine, and some cool reason wise re-wirable features in it. also it seems for me it have an ability to chop and edit recorded loops, sounds, etc just like ableton or similar does and plus have some interesting things on working with and shaping the sound itself..

I haven't properly road tested Record.

It sounds like you enjoy using it though, so maybe it's a solution that will work for you?!! :)

Personally, I've ditched using Adobe Audition as my audio editor now that I have Reaper. I find I can perform the same precise edits (when zoomed in) as I could before, but benefit from having VST effects and midi all in the same box!

Each to their own.... ;)

For me, good workflow means minimising the amount of time spent swpping between programs, or even between tabs!

I think one of the reasons Mackie Tracktion was so popular was that everything could be done from one window.

Reaper truly is my new program of choice. Occassionally I do go back to Reason though, just to quickly build an idea... :)

dont know if there are many record users on here, but my question is:

is it possible to reverse audio clips, if so how?

I just been watching some youtube vids of Record. The mixer looks the bollox! :) is Record useful even if you do not plan on recording audio from hardware into it?
Don’t worry about people stealing an idea. If it’s original, you will have to ram it down their throats.

IMO it is :D, its nice that i can finally work with audio, like the new mixer alot 8). Timestreching is very good too. And love the little workflow improvements, like the full screen rack in which u can place instruments next eachother and use the miniature screens to locate your desired instrument quickly. No need to be scrolling like a nut. The miniature is there also for the sequencer and mixer channels.

Yes I'm aware of that, but unfortunately I can't load audio into nn-xt

Just seen the above on Youtube. Looks like I will no longer need other DAWs for timestretching or chopping audio!

cons, I will need two more monitors :D
