Love Reaktor, I get too deep into it when I should be making tunes. Gonna upload some tasty ensembles when they are finished for anyone who is interested.

Ive been making a noise generator at the moment and a nice grain sampler, I am trying to work out how to get the sampler to record whats coming from the NG! Doing my 'effing head in.

I haven't really made any traditional synths with Reaktor yet I have been messing around with crazy FX's and such, I eventually wanna be able to only use Reaktor with ens's ive made and just use Cubase for recording all my hardware/guitar and such.

I'd definitely use it (in fact I had a dodgy copy but that died on me last year), so I'm using Pd for my more unusual ideas.

I just bought this last week and today is the first day that I really started wrapping my head around it. Just spent about 5 hours this afternoon studying.

I'm digging it!! I would be into sharing some ensembles with some peeps soon!

I have a bit of a funny relationship with Reaktor, I got it with Komplete 5 and I really want to abuse it. I've wrapped my head around programming it and even taken the time to learn Reaktor Core programming but sadly I fall short on the maths and stuff for doing interesting stuff like building filters.

Now I know there are an endless supply of ensembles in the User Library which are probably worth exploring but I already need to spend more time with the softsynths and effects I already use outside of Reaktor so I'm not really prepared to download another 50 ensembles to distract me. The thing is I want to use Reaktor to make some cool unique things I could get good use out of but I can't think of anything that a cleverer person than me probably hasn't already done.

The reason I uninstalled it right here.
Don’t worry about people stealing an idea. If it’s original, you will have to ram it down their throats.

i use some of the factory ensembles and tweak them about a bit but i cant be arsed with building my own , would rather being working on tunes/doing other stuff.

saying that i might put some time aside at some point to build some stuff. got some nice ideas for things, just havent bothered to try and implement them yet.

This free ebook will help you immensely---> http://lmgtfy.com/?q=Introduction+to+So ... off+Martin (2nd or 3rd link from top is a direct link to a PDF download)

My math is shhhhiiiitttte, but, with this book, (and a bit of googling to follow up on what is explained), I have been getting my head around all sorts of maths, electronics and dsp stuff. ;)

As mentioned, I do also follow up what is written on google just to have a better understanding of each aqspect as I progress through the book. For instance, typing basic electronics theory or basic geometry will help patch any missing knowledge needed to understand the audio related things.

Last week I didn't know what √ meant, this week I do! 8) Ditto for simple electronics terms like volt, ampere, watt and ohm etc etc...

Get reading! :)

I just built my first synth!! I know, I was just following the manual and built a simple 2 osc, 2 filter synth using the built in macros. But it is exciting to get a concept of what this thing can do. There are loads of things you can do with this if you put your mind to it!

Oh well, I guess any spare I have (I don't have any) is gone now haha. Big thanks for the link, I need a good simple reference for this kinda stuff (saying that I've not opened the PDF yet) but I need another life to learn all this shit :-(
