Don't use age as a gimmick.
If people are saying you have potential then surely you must realise that you need to try and fulfill your potential before you'll get proper exposure.

Im not... Maniac already had BARE bangers by the age of 17 already so i dont get your point..
Im referring to my age and my location to emphasise the lack of opportunites there are for an underage person to get DUBSTEP played out in clubs (ever tried 2 get into a 18+ venue in luton bruv???) & dubstep nights are pretty much non existant here aswell..
I am in a bad mood though!

if you have the internet you don't have a lack of oppurtunity and if Luton is so inactive then it doesn't matter if you don't get club exposure there.
I don't get why you said that thing about maniac? that has nothing to do with it. People just seem to mention their age so everyone goes "wow look how young they are" etc etc

Good point mate (inactive area) never thought of it that way...
And yh mate, the point i was trying to make was that 17 isnt a very young age to start production (so i dont understand any benefits that i would recieve from mentioning it, as you implied)... People do include their age for the reasons u mentioned, but 17 isnt noticabley young 2 start production, if u get me? lol Good points though..
Oh yh, regarding the internet, what sites do u recommend

Just use social networking sites and actually talk to people before ramming tunes down their throat. If you give people your time they should do the same for you.

Yh, i alwayz thought ramming it down labels/artsists throats was counter productive but i have just recently been tempting into doing this because Nolay (Female Grime mc, been on mtv base b4) was supposed to be doing a tune wid me over 1 of my instrumentals and she hasn't done it 4 like 3 months so im getting pretty disheartened, that was the last straw and this is why i made the thread still... I know a load of DJs who will play good tunes, new producer or not.
Stop coming from the angle of "I'm new someone pleeease plug my tracks", just make tracks that people want to play. If no one wants to play your tracks its becuase they arn't good enough yet, simple as that.
Out Now:
DD005 - Retrospect
MRS029 - Connected/Lovin' You
DAR010 - Santogold - Shove It (remix) 12"
SET003 - Bob Marley - Is This Love (remix) 12"
Echodub Loves Volume 2 - White Room
FTW Records Digital - Panic Room
FTW Free Compilation - Get Up (a.k.a Symphony)

There is some dubstep in bedford, check out the dubzilla nights, 18+ again though I think.
Luton does seem pretty dead on the dubstep front though
