Hudson Mohawke Live? Thoughts

Post by mta7388 » Tue Dec 08, 2009 7:04 pm

So I'm planning on going to see Hudson Mohawke Live [w, FaltyDL, Mike Slott] in NYC in about a week: http://www.santospartyhouse.com/index/event/id/1228

I just wanted to hear from those of you that have seen HudMo live before and what his set is like: does he spin mostly his own stuff, dubstep or just wonkier stuff, and of course was it good?

Thanks folks

I saw him in August and was completely blown away. He played lots of his own stuff, including some then unreleased stuff (some of it was released later on Butter, I guess), plus some other experimental beat music, playing around a lot - I danced my shoes off, it was absolutely crazy. My friend who came along, who hadn't heard of Hudson Mo before really loved it too (my other friend who joined, a metal head, retreated after a few minutes, he thought it was a bit too crazy).

It was by far the best night out of this year for me music-wise. You're gonna love it! :)

Yeah ive seen him live recently at his launch party in glasgow, very dope set and tight. Mostly his own stuff but he played some other stuff as well. Wasnt feeling the album hugely but hearing it out live was wicked.

Saw Mike slott recently live as well, truly amazing! His new lucky 9 teen ep is massive.
