What DJ's do u know of that are willing to play new producers' tunes? :D
I know a load of DJs who will play good tunes, new producer or not.

Stop coming from the angle of "I'm new someone pleeease plug my tracks", just make tracks that people want to play. If no one wants to play your tracks its becuase they arn't good enough yet, simple as that.
The problem isnt that dj's wont play my tunes... because everytime i ask they do, in fact sum even ask ME (so they must be good nuh??) i am looking 4 MORE exposure and MORE DJ's...
I dont appreciate the implication that my tune arent good enough... not nice...

Sorry if I offended you mate, I didn't mean that your tunes arn't good enough as I havn't listened to them, I was just saying in general if you make great tracks, people WILL want to play them and exposure will come easier.

In terms of getting people to hear your tracks the best way is to do amazing mixes which include your stuff, people are far more likely to listen to a mix which has some of your tracks as well as tracks they know rather than your tracks by themselves you know?

Thats how I found out about 16bit, I had the tokyo set menu mix on my ipod and checked out the tracks that I liked afterwards.

I say this to soooo many people - you want exposure? just write sick tunes and don't send them out to anyone until they are amazing.

The amount of crap tunes floating around make it easy to stand out, but if you've already been hammering people with music before you're better than the rest, people will start to ignore your music.

Look at the people who 'break through' - like TRG, Joy Orbison or Untold as good examples from recent years - they appear to come from nowhere, because they wait until their tunes are actually good enough to release.

Write such good tunes that people come TO YOU, then you don't have to worry about pestering people at all...

(btw I'm talking generalisations here, I haven't heard your tunes just replying to what I see so many people saying)

Look for DJs doing radio in mixes section and doing parties in the event section, easy as that ;) Check them mixes and if you think your tunes may be their thing send on!

All I can say is if you have a tune that someone thinks it's worth playing, they will play it.

The obstacle in this course is you trying to get your music out there.

Install AIM and send some PM's on this forum and maybe get a MySpace/Soundcloud.

I had my first tune played on dubstep.fm the night I finished it.

I was 15.

Yes! Why mention ur fucking age! No offense but im not using age as a fucking gimmick cuz this isnt football... the only reason i mentioned my age was to prevent people saying: "why dont u chat 2 a couple dj's when ur at shows etc..." which would be IMPOSSIBLE because im underage!!

U my friend, are obv just showing off... i too have had my shit played on radio and also had it played at a warm up set 4 joker and the crowd fuckin luuuved it! but u dnt see me showing off... I just want to identify all avenues to get my tunes out there because i believe im reaching quite a good level at music production, regardless of age...

Im just asking for some advice, its quite a vital part of the forum tbh...

So no more, age comments :D

How about stop coming across as really immature, it's easier just to ignore people that say negative things, and you sound like less of a dick.
Grow up a bit and be a bit more polite if you're serious, people will appreciate it.

Dont make threads begging for promo, use soundcloud, social networks, send the tunes out to blogs, and just keep making better tunes
