I just want to know what my dubstepper's backgrounds are. Do you think this topic is inappropriate? Maybe you're right, but I posed the question with the best of intentions.

I'd love to hear that someone on here has never touched a horn in their life or has spent 18 years as a professional harpist or was considered a child prodigy at the flute when they were 3 years old or has played in 5 different ska bands or has never seen sheet music in their life or can listen to symphonies and see each part in their head or has no clue how to make music but loves listening to it.

drums for 16 years and a little bit of piano, plus lots of various percussion instruments..marimba, xylophone, timpani, etc.

I played the Trumpet for 2 years in high school band
Been Playing Bass for 7 years, Guitar for 6
I used to play drums for 2 years then had to sell my kit
Ableton for 4 months

It seems a disproportionate amount of dj's are drummers. Guess the whole timing thing is pretty central to both . . .
