FL Studio 7 Wobble Bass tutorial

Post by __________ » Sun Sep 09, 2007 4:10 pm

I've seen lots of people asking how to make a wobble bass in FL.
Here's how in 4 steps:

1. Click channels>Add one>3xOSC
Image

2. Assign the synth a FX channel and put a low pass filter on it, right click cutoff knob>edit events
Image

3. Click button in top left corner of edit events window then tools>LFO
Image

4. Turn the range and value knobs up a small amount and right click the speed knobs to regulate the speed of the WUBWUBWUB.

This method will work with any VSTi, not just the 3xOSC. Tweak the phase on the LFO window to make the wobble syncopated.

I apologise if this annoyed any of the mods or admins, but I thought a quick run through of FL wub might be of some help in the long run and stop so many 'how do I make wobble bass?' threads.

its easier to just go on to the 'INS' tab in the 3Xosc then select the 'CUT' tab below the 'INS'. then change the LFO speed and amount and also the filter cut off. I find the FL event editing and automation a bit too fiddly

you can just right click the speed and set the rate too, 1 step, 2 steps, 3 steps etc

Its even easier to right click, and create an automation clip.

it didnt help me lol, u didnt even show all the screens for the stuff u were tapping.
i just stuck with the good old fashioned pressing two keys at the same time, and adjusting the crs and fine, adjusting the pans.

sarcasm is the lowest form of wit. especially when you're one of the people asking how to make a wobble.

you just gotta make it easier, for people who dont know how to use the programs. like red circles around stuff and putting numbers next to them.

Mate that looks pretty straight forward, maybe you should read the manual?

im really frustated. i did what you said and i managed to make a wobble bass. but then i started a new file thinking i would be able to make another one quite easily but i cant do it. ive repeated exactly what you wrote but after ive done it still sounds like a normal note.
