Sick brass man. Gives the whole thing a crazy western vibe. Only thing I can really say which isn't really very important is that I've heard that sample a couple of times. But I'd say its by a longshot the best track I've heard it on.

Cheers for the feedback Hayze :t: I was in 2 minds really as to whether or not to put some more fills and a few drum edits in there, while it was on the "to do" list, i realised i kind of like the rolling side of it how it is, its definately something i will look into now that you have mentioned it... Also i was worried about if the vocal sample had been used before too but i was informed by one of my mates who is into his dubstep in a big way that it has, i have since been told by him that he made a mistake and there is a few tunes that use it floating about... At the same time as wanting to not use it for those reasons (and take it back out) i think it sits so well with the trumpet and general feel of the tune that i cant bring myself to get rid of it now, hell, it wont be the first time 2 different artists have used the same sample i spose...

Thanks for the comments mate, ill keep you posted on progress :i:

New Track, Enjoy :z:
Hmmmm. When it breaks into the high synths I'd keep something attached on there like the high hats, just so it doesn't break off so sharply.

Yeah, that's a good idea, cheers for the criticism. Ima look into it.

Had a little listen mate and ill give some feedback as best i can (this is purely on what i would do as im not familiar enough with dubstep yet to know if everything is actually the norm or anything) anyways my thoughts... I like some of the ideas in the tune, it has some good switches and a nice groove to it, i think the midrange frequencies on the bassline are a bit overpowering at the moment, i would try and get a bit of punchy bass either eq'd or layered in there to fill in the gap at around 100 - 180hz, once thats there i think it will all sound alot more balanced... The arrangement is good but i would put more work into the drums, particularly the percusion, some nice lower midrange percs would fill up some gaps and create a change and more drive later on in the track imo... The only other thing i picked up on is the kick and snare, personally i like the kick to be very prominent in the mix and the snare too but to a lesser extent on this track, with some eq work on the kick in the low end (around 75hz for the low end and also for more punch at about 180hz) after this if it needs it some group compression on them both to make them pump a bit more together might work a treat...

Like i said this is all just my opinions mate, it might not be the desired effect with this sort of dubstep...
