ha ha ha. you snapped with the sampling in the beginning.

should make the snare more prominent, and try distorting the bass so it sounds as dangerous as a fucking lion.
haha

lil wayne and birdman - stunnin like my daddy remix

Post by wayoftheworld » Wed Dec 23, 2009 8:09 am

still new to producing, this is my first remix, its of birdman and waynes 'stunnin like my daddy'. song is still just a sketch of ideas, looking for advice on which direction to take. not really a dubstep tune, i was goin for more of a glitch/lazer bass kinda sound.

ive played this for a few friends and a couple said the first synth that comes in kinda throws it off, although it sounds alright to my ears....tho i know it can be hard getting perspective on yr own shit sometimes. so any criticisms would be awesome, and i'll definetly write a decent review for you as well. peeece

thanks for the comments man. I listened to your song "Damage" - likin the darkness of the tune a lot. I would bring in the acoustic sounding drums that come in during the end earlier. maybe at the second drop. I'd also throw some distortion on that wobble at some point in the song to pick things up a bit. nice clear production too man, big up!

Good ideas, and yeah i'm gonna shorten the beginning up by halfing the breakdown if that makes sense. Thanks a lot for the feedback!

I love the drums and most of the synths, but the bass (I think it's the bass) I'm really not feeling. Maybe work on the timbre a little bit, get some more low end behind it. I'd just try and get it to sit better, it seems at odds with the mix. Once again, the drums are really good.
Just my 2c

Here's my latest tune, any feedback appreciated!
