Come help us start the new year out right... January 29th with Tes La Rok (his first time in the states) and 16 Bit!!!!

TES LA ROK- FIRST US TOUR!!!!

http://www.myspace.com/teslarok

Tes La Rok is a dubstep DJ and music producer from Helsinki, Finland. He was one of the first international names to break through in the scene, and has been featured on a variety of albums such as Steppa's Delight, Dubstep Allstars 5, Mary-Anne Hobbs' Evangeline and Mixmag 25 Year Anniversary Mix by Laurent Garnier. He is also the owner of Noppa Recordings, a dubstep label featuring some of the most innovative artists from around the world.

For the past decade, Tes La Rok has been one of the pioneers in Helsinki undergound culture. He has had a hand in running respected raves such as Slam It, Soulfuel, Back 2 Bass and Sub.

His first ever record was released on Audio Couture (sister label of Moving Shadow) in 1998 - under the moniker Dice with his partner in crime Dharma1. A few years later, it was Dharma1 who introduced UK garage & broken-beats to Tes La Rok.

Tes La Rok released his remix of Uncle Sam's Round The World Girls on Argon Records in 2007. It quickly achieved anthem status, being played in danceclubs everywhere. For the dubstepforum.com 2007 awards, it won 'Best 12"'. Tes La Rok is one to watch - he is leading the way into the future of dubstep music with his enthusiasm and hard work.

16 Bit

West London dubstep producers Kidnappa (Eddie Jefferys[/banmember]) and DRT ([bandmember]Jason Morrison). The collaboration is relatively new and they have been putting on some temperature-checking early sets around the world and getting their dubplates spun out by some of the scene’s names like Chef and Rusko. They have had releases on Boka Records, Destpub, Urban Essentials, Sequence, their own label Dub & Run and on the legendary Southside Dubstars.

What you don't want to sit through two and a half hours of bullshit? LMAO Excision was worth it though. Looking forward to hearing 16 Bit live. I'm already there.
You want to find the number 216 in the world, you will be able to find it everywhere. 216 steps from a mere street corner to your front door. 216 seconds you spend riding on the elevator. When your mind becomes obsessed with anything, you will filter everything else out and find that thing everywhere.

I'm from the Chicago scene so I'm used to it being around I never really thought of it that way. But with Zeno dropping a sick set and getting the crowd all hyped up, then two and a half hours of no dubstep really threw everything off. If excision wasn't the headliner I don't know if I would have stayed. Not that Antique Beats wasn't an interesting show I just personally grew extremely tired of it after about 20 min.Considering the set that went before it. Though if that's what brings the crowd in and makes the money to bring in big names then I'm all for it. I really like Cervantes and the sound you guys bring reminds me of this place that used to be called Onotep in Milwaukiee only 18+ instead of the normal 21+ DnB/Dubstep/Breakcore shows that play in the Chicagoland area.

P.S. The Widdler needs to come to Denver.

I feel ya for sure. We didnt do the show to bring in the heads and make money silly, we did the show because it was an opportunity to expose people to dubstep. sonic bloom is a huge outdoor festival here in the summer and we have been working slowly on having more of a presence. check it out this summer, youll have a blast. anyway, thanks for staying! we usually only do all dubstep shows but sometimes its good to branch out. come say hi- when did ya move here?
