Went for an even moodier sound, what do you think? Have I gone too far with this?

Afraid the mix down is pretty terrible. I'm on holiday atm, and only have an onboard soundcard and headphones to work with :(

Can you give me some tips on how to improve that? its not finished yet so thats why its short.
cheers
Samples are terrible imo, lose the FOOKIN ARD MATE look, dubstep doesn't need anymore of that.

In terms of possible more useful feedback - the drums have no prescence in this mix at all. I'd try and work at getting that kick to punch through a bit deeper, along with the snare. The bassline isn't bad, but maybe try and bring out a bit more in it. At the moment it's quite stale with not much movement - perhaps some light distortion and some modulation like a very dry flanger or phaser?

Food for thought I hope anyway :)

ya alright, i put the vocals in because it was just bare without it, i thought it felt empty, and im gonna work on the drums like you said maybe redo them, my mate said that aswell. For the bassline yea ill try adding some distortion etc, also is the drop noticeable? or not?

A way to make my bass move would be making the notes different in piano roll? (higher/lower in octaves)

I really like the track, really atmospheric and the drop is awesome - loving the sub-bass. Rather short but I presume you're working on that now :) Would love to hear the finished product... The only criticism I have is that the intro is rather long, but that may just me being impatient...

My effort:

Any feedback would be appreciated - apologies for the awful mixing things always sound much worse on soundcloud.
likin this alot, like the mood, unfortunately can't cmment on the sounds that much as ive had to resort to some swag speakers but i like the jazzy sounds alot, i personally would be down for some kind of reverb or something to spice up the sax a bit, but im likin it alot any feedback on this tune would be appreciated.

Haven't worked on a tune in months & months, but knocked this out early this morning. It's still a WIP, unmixed, but feedback would be dope.....good/bad/ugly

I decided to stop on my other one, as i felt it didnt feel right to myself so i have started on a new one, one that i feel is achievable by myself at this stage im at
Soundcloud

that's just my intro and a bit of the main, it doesnt have a wobble yet so i was wondering if someone could help me with it.

For the wobble, what speed would suit this best, i pretty much know its going to be a slow tempo one, what sort of sound should it have? effects or just bass

btw - the last bar is where im going to put in the wobble, so it goes quiet then the wobble starts with the drums again

Tune in sig. :D

Only 50% finished. (Not going to, I'm bored with it).

Gaps in the song were to be filled in with SFX, there are no sweeps, rises, or bits & bops. Just posting to see what you think of what I "DO" have. Thoughts? Arrangement? Structure? Any feedback is appreciated...

ben i like everything but the bass maybe if it sat a bit lower in the scale and wasnt so slow compared to the piano line it would sound better
