there's a million different ways!
are you reshuffling drum patterns? (beat repeat or sample offset in ableton)
extracting single hits and creating patterns? (dr rex in reason)
or what or what?

ohh rite just read it again..
ermm preping samples for sequencing and such..soundforge wavelab or recycle for reason
for timeslicing like old jungle tunes use soundforge cubase sx3 or any other sequencer with a timestretch tool..
