I listened to 1000 yard stare and once again as Ive said before it one of them tracks I wouldnt really like but I do
It just grabbed me from start to finish just a very chilled out ambient tune, id say one of them tunes you wanna listen to whislt you have a hangova, just to chill you out.
I agree with an earlier review stating the lack of bass but then again i think that may be the whole point of the tune and it works especially with the whispering sounds it just grabs you and is very refreshing.
The production levels are very good from what im hearing, but again as ive stated before im very much an amateur on this type of thing so I cant go into depth, but yeah i like it
I'll take a listen to the other bits you have on myspace but for this tune thumbs up!!
Nice one for the feedback dude. Much appreciated

 Let me return the favour:
Geeza - Regiment
Props:
- Vocal sample "I make this. Not the public. I tell the dj's what to play....." is one of the best Ive heard in a tune for a long time. Reminds me of the vocal sample from Kryptic Minds "Badman".
- Liked the metallic sounds layered under some of the snares. Really added a sinister air to the whole piece.
- Soild drums throughout keep the groove going. Just minimal enough to sound dark but at the same time solid enough to hold the attention.
Advice:
- Drops need work. For a dark track like this I would have a break of one bar (just silence no drums nothing) before the sub and drums kick in. It helps to added emphasis to the drop and make it seem more "solid". Maybe a cymbal crash at the drop would add even more emphasis.
- Rigid structure to the track feels a little mechanical and over quantise. Shuffling some of the drum hits off the grid would add some natural movement and swing to the beat.
- To be honest (apart from the one mentioned above) I would think about ditching some of the other vocal samples or at least reducing the amount of times they appear in the track. The one above is a strong enough sample to build the whole track around mate, seriously (If you havent already guessed I love that sample. If I wasnt such a nice guy I'd straight rob it for a JFK track!). The other vocal samples are too high in the mix too.
- Synth sounds are well made but need to be noticeably different in the two main sections. This would keep the synths more attention grabbing and the track wouldnt have to rely so heavily on the drums for movement. Read up about resampling and layering different types of waveforms to get a "gritty" sound to the bass, its not difficult to do once you know how and would add a whole new demension to your (admittedly very musical) basslines.
- Mix is VERY loud. These days everyone wants to have the loudest mixes possible (I sound like a right old tnuc now...

) but the key is trying to get the loudness and keep the dynamics of the track. Here the elements do tend to clash and muddy up the mix. Reading the gain structure/mixing mastering threads in the bible will help.
Overall:
Some nice ideas here. I get the impression you have a very specific idea of what you are trying to achieve but may lack the technical know how at this stage to fully translate those ideas onto the screen. You have siad you are very new to this so it will come with time and practice. You oviously know how to put together a banger and as soon as those skills (resampling etc) are in your armoury there will be no stopping you! Keep at it man. I cant wait for the next one!
Peace
