Post by sonar » Fri Jan 12, 2007 12:22 am

been lookin around a bit on the net. just want something for my PC that will sound half decent (currently have 5w speakers or something equally as brutal  )

found these 2 systems, which are about how much i wanna spend. i listen to all types of music but atm its been bare dubstep and dnb.

The Kam KPCS20 generates crisp mids and highs through two active satellite speakers with kevlar drivers and bullet radiators, controlled by a very futuristic light-touch rotary level control the kpcs also lends itself to many, many sound applications,A 30 watts (rms) active subwoofer provides all the bass rumble for an excellently balanced and very meaty system, Superb value and amazing output make the kpcs20 an excellent living room, bedroom or desktop audio option

# 2.1 active speaker system
# 46 watts (rms) combined power
# 2 x 8 watts (rms) satellites speakers
# Two way speakers
# 4" kevlar drivers
# Satellite speaker level controls
# Active subwoofer
# 6.5" bass cone
# Independent subwoofer level control
# RCA inputs

barin in mind it dosn't have to be overly loud, just for bedroom use, needs some dirrty bass and nice clarity.

any ideas :?

well if the kpcs20's are 100 quid i'd recommend saving a few more pennies, especially if you want something for production:

you can get a pair of passive Alesis Monitor One mk2;s for 80 quid here:

if you havent already got an amp you can get one for 50 quid which will tide you over till you can afford a proper good'un!

:!:
is it?

NO.

yeah definately just for playback. cant afford to spend £300< for some proper studio monitors, specially seems i dont really need them.

willl not be using them for producing at all.
